ZOOMORPHIC (1) just over three weeks between runs when up in class for a close-up sixth over 6 ¾f at Beaumont (Newcastle). Will benefit with Drew's claim again and won well two back in this grade. Go close. NAFTALI (5) doesn't win out of turn and held on late after shouldering the 128lbs when fourth over 7f at Mudgee. Placed at the track and winning apprentice goes back on. Can get cover from the gate and figure prominently. GHAZNAVI (4) went back from the wide gate and was a total forgive when seventh over 7f at Tamworth. Strips fitter third-up and finds a weaker race. MELLENCAMP (2) was rewarded for his consistency as fav when a comfortable winner in the small field over 1m at Taree. Will relish the 9lbs claim and can keep the momentum going.
