OENOLOGY (1) tough gelding who drops sharply in grade and has an excellent record over this track and trip. Covered ground in the run and outclassed when eighth to Tavros over 1m in the Gunnedah Cup. Maps well with the 9lbs claim. Hard to stop. SMART BUY (2) back marker desperate for an improving surface and fast tempo. Has a good record over this trip and gets her chance with Weatherlake's 9lbs claim. Look for her to swoop late. THE COMANCHE (10) three runs back have been encouraging and doesn't have to improve much to win this. Closed strongly in the heavy (10) going to finish second over 7 ½f at Port Macquarie. Must be included on the strength of that form. CORPSMAN (11) dropped in grade with a surprise victory over 7f at Tamworth in BM50 class. Minor place chance.
