Extra trip in his favour from the good gate. Blinkers come off and will go close. BREAKOUT (8) gets a better set-up for this at his third race start. Slow into stride and chipped away late when fifth over 5 ¾f at Illawarra Grange. Finds an easier race with leading apprentice aboard. MAKO (3) three weeks between runs when he went out quickly before folding up in the straight to finish seventh over 7 ¼f at Illawarra Grange. This shapes as a much easier contest. Each way. LUKE SKYWALKER (2) returns from a 47-day let-up. Tracked the speed and never comfortable on the tight turning Gatton track with a tiring fourth over 7f. Deserves another chance after the good run at Eagle Farm two-back.
