VIKING VALOUR (1) saluted at this track two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when second over 5 ½f at Julia Creek, beaten only a long neck. Yet to miss the placings from five starts at this circuit. Steps up a level but he is capable of running a bold race. MADAM BORODINA (3) was well fancied last start over 6f at Stamford when second, beaten 3.5 lengths. Where there's smoke there's fire and deserves another chance. XINGXING (4) was far from disgraced when third last start after being prominent at the turn over 6f at Oak Park, beaten 2.75 lengths. That followed a win at Laura-Qld the start prior. Ideally placed and is sure to bounce back to form. MAKANUI (6) has a win and a second from three attempts over this track and trip and looks one for the multiples.
