Verdict

BURNING AMBITION (4) came from well back to score an impressive maiden win first-up over 6f at Tamworth. Quickened nicely on the wet track that day which is a good sign going into this. A couple of key scratchings deprive the race of real quality so another win looks on the cards. RAGING (5) did his best work late to get up for third when fresh from a spell over 6f at Warwick last start. Doesn't win out of turn but this presents a great chance to turn things around. YANABAH (3) will appreciate the step up in distance today and is yet to miss the placings in five wet track runs. In the money two out of three runs at this stage of the prep and boats three placings from four tries at today's distance. Very nice profile. REVAMPED (1) has been freshened up and changed stables since failing at Hawkesbury eight weeks ago. Impressive Newcastle maiden winner prior to that. Can be competitive at this level. CASINO STING (10) is up in grade but can improve second-up.
