Verdict

TOUGH GUY (3) was impressive first-up at Tamworth then tackled a 5f Randwick Highway last start where he raced wide and failed to run on. Gives the impression he needs 6f now. Beautifully drawn and should be cherry ripe at the third run back. LIGHTNING SPEED (7) raced handy but lacked the change of gears required and finished a distant third in a Class 4 over this trip at Scone last time out. Subsequent trial winner who should find this a shade easier. Very fit and ready to win. COTTON SOX (11) returned from a five-month spell with an eye-catching second over 5f at Tamworth recently. Tackling a better race today but she should come on from that last run and is right in the mix. NEWS BOUND (9) has been struggling of late in better races. Won a Class 2 four back over this trip at Gunnedah which is the most relevant recent form reference. SNATCHREILLY (6) doesn't win often but has been about the money of late in races of comparable quality.
