WHO'S IN DEV (4) returned from a 24-week spell and missed the placings for the first time in nine career runs when beaten just under three lengths at $1.95 over 7f at this track last start. On-pacer with a strong record at this trip so he should make amends straight away. COOL HEART (3) doesn't win out of turn but has an impressive top three strike rate over a long period. Last raced a month ago when nailed on the line over 6 ¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Placed eight on nine over this distance and loves Launceston. Has the right credentials to take this out. MATERIAL MADAM (6) hasn't been too flash in her two runs this time in work but she generally improves at this stage of the preparation. STREET DIVA (2) caught the eye here first-up over 5 ½f and should enjoy the extra ½f this evening. GEEGEES DOWNPOUR (5) resumes. Usually needs a run to hit his straps but opens this prep with blinkers on for the first time which might be significant.
