JUST PLAIN NUTS (2) went close here two runs back when coming off a two-month break. Backed up quickly after that run and led from go to whoa here at this distance a fortnight ago. Rock hard fit and with a few key opponents coming out he looks a terrific chance. LAWRENNY BOYS (9) returns after a 110-day spell. Speedy customer who has won just once in 15 starts but has placed eight times. Will press forward and despite the gap between runs he can give a great sight. JENNI THE CAT (8) is back after a 29-week break. Opened last prep with a barnstorming win over Lawrenny Boys at Hobart. Sure to be primed for another big return. NOVALARGO (6) returns from a six-month break. Goes well fresh and loves racing here. Capable of testing this field. COURSE OF ACTION (4) made up a stack of late ground to finish second to Just Plain Nuts when fresh from a spell over this course and distance last time. Likely improver who is right in the mix.
