NATURAL RULER (1) has been freshened up since leading but dropping right out over 1 ?m at Sandown last start. Best Victorian form reads nicely in a race of this calibre. Expecting he will bounce back to form today. BRAZIL (4) scored first-up at Muswellbrook then found metro company out of his league last start at Randwick. Very fit now and is a genuine threat back in this grade. SOUTHERLY BUSTER (2) closed well but found one a bit better in a comparable race to this at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Racing in great heart and can add to his fine record over the mile of three wins from six. DARN CUTE (8) led for the judge but dropped out alarmingly when resuming over this distance at Gosford recently. Can stick on a bit better today with that run under the belt. TAVOLO (10) returned to form here last Saturday and is not out of contention over the extra 1f today.
