VIKTOR (4) had to work too hard off a wide draw before fading to finish eighth over 1m at Randwick a fortnight ago. Well placed here with a drop in class, and with a 3lbs claim to offset his weight rise, he could prove hard to run down. OTONO (8) was a sound fifth runs back, and improved to finish fourth over 1m at Warwick Farm last time out 17 days ago. She has never missed the frame in two runs at this track and trip, and is well worth each-way consideration, especially from the pole position. TENBURY WELLS (3) missed the kick and ran on late to finish seventh at Warwick Farm last start. This looks easier, and with some luck from a wide gate, he can bounce straight back into the money. ARTFUL PERSUASION (2) ran third here two starts ago, and then was not far away in a tougher field over 1m at Randwick a fortnight ago. He is nicely placed after a 7lbs claim, so stick with him. DE LOUVIERE (12) was a close third at Gosford last start, and is a solid top 4 chance again.
