BOLD BUCKS (6) was sent out as a rock solid $1.65 chance last start at Nowra but after giving away at least six lengths on the bend could not bridge the gap and was beaten in a three-way go. His figures suggest a step up to provincial level is not out of reach. Hard to beat in the wide-open spaces of Kembla. BRUTAL ADVANCE (1) registered his eighth minor placing from 14 runs when a fast finishing second over this course and distance last time out. Cherry ripe after two runs back from a spell. Must win one sooner or later. BASCILICA BABE (9) led for the judge but was headed soon after and finished a distant third over 6 ½f at Hawkesbury recently. Getting down in the weights and 6f is a good option. Not out of contention. CLINGER POWER (10) came from near the tail to finish fifth on debut over 5 ½f at Hawkesbury last start. Better placed here over 6f so expect some improvement on that effort. ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (12) will find this easier than her moderate debut in town.
