AU - Kembla Grange - Race 3

MAJORIAN (1) hit the front and looked to be heading for an overdue win but was nailed on the line over 1 ½m here a fortnight ago. That was his first run for five weeks to add merit to the performance. Best form comes at 1 ¼m so this looks his race. CELEBRITY (2) showed the first glimpse of form for the campaign last time out when just out of the placings over 1 ?m at Randwick. Yet to be tested at this trip but has only raced five times and is by a Melbourne Cup winner so it shouldn't be an issue. LONGINUS (4) relished the step up to 1 ¼m recently when the comfortable winner of a Class 1 at Hawkesbury. Can improve further at just the fourth run of the preparation. KIRKUK (3) has been a bit one-paced of late in races at or around the mile. Might be ready for a first try at today's journey.
