COOL RUNNING (6) turned his form around winning a CL1 over a mile on a heavy track at the Sunshine Coast. He has comparable figures on dryer surfaces and the premier jockey is reunited. Doubt the rail is ideal but he has solid claims each-way with average luck. SAN JOSE BOY (3) rates well but jumps from the outside barrier. Disappointed heavily backed here 26 days ago and the winkers go on again to keep him focused. Thompson is reunited somewhat offsetting the gate disadvantage. SIMPLY FUN (4) peaks and finally draws an inside barrier. His form last preparation would see him tough to beat. SKORPIOS ISLE (5) is better than the form line suggests. Will find this grade more to his liking and his win over a mile here at the back of his last preparation stacks up.
