Verdict

FIRE BOMBER (1) sat just off the speed then closed well to finish second last start over 6f at Doomben. Beaten narrowly over today's trip in town two back. Has raced at Ipswich twice and won them both - perfectly placed today to maintain the 100% record here. A five-week let-up did wonders for MISHANI MOET (4) who bounced back to form with a comfortable win over 6f at the Gold Coast last time out. Should cope with the extra trip and still gets in nicely after the claim. Big chance to go back-to-back. SMASHING NOVA (6) opened this prep with a couple of fine efforts south of the border then tackled a strong race at Eagle Farm two Saturdays ago and wasn't beaten far. Poses a serious threat back in this company. HELLO DOLLY DIVA (7) bolted in first-up in a Toowoomba maiden over 6 ½f. Very effective at or around this trip so another forward showing is expected. The lightly raced LISTEN JANI (8) won her maiden here last start and cannot be ruled out.
