VEOMAS (3) has proven costly for his supporters but has shown glimpses of real ability throughout his 10 starts. Will likely drift back from the wide draw and be charging hard late. STAR OF PARIS (7) was just under a length away first-up off 659 days at Beaudesert after a slow start and he hit the frame at both attempts at this journey. With improvement to come she rates a key chance, though remain wary second-up off such a long break. Similarly, ZOUBUCA SHOTS (8) caught the eye first-up off a long break at Toowoomba when flashing home to only miss by a head. Has been freshened with 61 days and can cause a late scare if the pace is genuine.
