SILENT THINKER (9) looked handy placing at the Gold Coast on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. Gets the services of in-form hoop Thompson in the irons and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. MACHTIG HAVANAGILA (6) just missed the frame in town when resuming, gets 7lbs weight relief with the claim and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Plenty to like about his prospects. ZOUS A CHANCE (10) was at cricket score odds when facing the starter for the first time but defied expectations with a solid third beaten only two lengths. Jockey Taylor stays on top and looks a genuine top-three candidate with natural improvement. SAVASTEEL (2) has placed three of five overall and maps nicely for this from gate two. In the mix. CAUTIONARY TAIL (3) next best in a race with only a handful of chances.
