Open race to close out the card. MOON SWEEPER (12) is resuming here but the form he showed in his first preparation was good enough to feature in a race like this. Winning rider Thornton returns to the saddle and can run a big race while fresh. SIMPLY EXCELS (7) boasts a win over this course and distance and has been racing in a purple patch of form this campaign. Only needs some luck from the sticky draw to play a major role in the finish. MAYNE (11) strips fitter second-up from the spell and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Cannot be ignored. I AM A MARVEL (6) has been right there in recent efforts and will be rock-hard fit for this. Shapes as a leading contender. POSEIDON RULER (17) best of the rest from the Munce barn.
