CANARA (12) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 1 m at Doomben, beaten 2 lengths. That rates well for this and has the blinkers on again and Ben Thompson in the saddle. Maps well enough and deserves another chance. OUR JEWEL (14) won a trial and went close over ¾f here first-up. Loses Thompson but draws low and the step up in trip suits. A live chance with the extra fitness. FIRE AND LIGHT (5) switches back to the mile but is racing well and will be strong to the line. Can't be ruled out. KEEP IT LOKI (17) came back to racing improved when beaten 1.2L over 7f at the Gold Coast in stronger. Has an awkward gate but fitter goes in at a price.
