HOMERIC (2) put the writing on the wall last start when he closed strongly to be beaten under a length in a Class 1 over this course and distance. Has a wide gate to contend with but at the third run back from a spell he will be hitting his peak. SWITCHBLADE (8) was there on straightening but just whacked away to finish a distant third last time out over 1 ¹/16m at this circuit. Has scored over this track and trip before - should enjoy the shorter journey. THE TORQUE FACTOR (3) wound up late and got very close on the line when resuming over 6f at Grafton recently. Lightly raced five-year-old who will be hard to hold out over a bit more ground this time. HIDDEN FUTURE (14) returned to form last start when runner-up over this course and distance. Saves her best for Ipswich so keep her in mind. ZOUSLAYER (17) caught the eye at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and cannot be ruled out on the quick back-up.
