SHOT OF WHISKEY (6) led all the way to record a brave win over this distance at Doomben last start, the third run of the campaign. Draws a lovely gate so should once again find the lead and is going to prove very tough to reel in. CINDERSEA (11) returned from an eight-week break and ran her usual honest race, beaten a neck over 5f at the Gold Coast after racing in the leading division throughout. Drawn to enjoy a similar run today. Big chance over a bit more ground with that last run under her belt. SURPRISE HONEY (13) has tackled stronger races since a first-up placing at Eagle Farm and has struggled to make an impact. Unbeaten in two runs here and will be cherry ripe now. In the right race to return to form. BALANCE THE BOOKS (16) has been well found in betting at all three runs this prep without winning. Closed well to get up for third at Doomben last time. Wide gate the only concern. Consistent mare JOY A PLENTY (12) loves Ipswich and is a live chance also.
