MY GIRL MARLEY (8) worked home well to be beaten just half a length on debut last start over 6f at Doomben. Not sure coming back in trip is ideal but that form stands out in a race of this calibre. Should be breaking through. INKWELL (3) lines up for the third time. Showed pace but just faded in the dying stages of a 5 ¼f maiden at Rockhampton a fortnight ago. Should be prominent for a long way. WINNING LADY (12) is a Winning Rupert first starter for the Jack Bruce stable. Went close in a recent Doomben trial. Respect any positive market moves. A couple of other newcomers in GRIEVE ROAD (2) and MAKE ME SHINE (4) haven't set the world on fire at the trials but have been well found in early markets. Worth monitoring.
