Verdict

GRAFTON STREET (1) Irish import gelded over the break and makes his Australian debut for the Bjorn Baker stable. Scored a dominant win on debut over 1 ?m at Listowel last September on a heavy surface. Fitted with the two trials and finds a nice race to kick off. Expected to go close. PIERRO LAD (2) sat on the speed and relished the extra ground to get off the mark over 7f at Kembla Grange. Gets a similar set-up for this and confidence is high. DON'S PARTY (3) scored a well-deserved Maiden win first-up when he rounded them up with ease over 6 ½f at Wyong on the soft (7) surface. Looks up to this and can keep improving as he gets out in trip. VASALA (4) strips fitter third-up after he's been anchored with the big weights on the country circuit. Was a month between runs when he folded up late to finish sixth over 7f at Narrandera. Lone win came over the 1m at Gosford and stays in the mix.
