MISS DEFY (10) scored an impressive win over 1 ¼m at Canberra two runs ago. Stepped back in trip and was less effective last time when down the track at Wagga. Back in her right race today so expect a return to form. The consistent FULMEN FILOU (4) raced handy then battled on well for second at Armidale recently in a BM58 over 1 ³/16m. Might need some luck from the wide gate but he is a genuine gelding who is sure to give a good account. AKAUWHEO (7) led for the judge but was swamped in the straight over 1 ?m at Gilgandra last time. Down in class and a bit less pressure over today's journey will help. EJECT (9) found the line well at Armidale last start and the extra trip today looks a plus. DESCENDING MIST (1) hasn't been all that far away of late and this is a drop in grade on recent efforts. Looks a chance with the help of the 9lbs claim.
