VERMEER (2) led but knocked up in the run home over 1 ³/16m at Ballina last start. That followed a five-week let-up so he needed the run. Form prior to Xmas in staying races was very good - expect him to return to that performance level this afternoon. HIGH CLASS ROLLER (8) is racing well without winning, including a game second over 1 5/16m at Lismore two back when attempting that journey for the first time. Likes racing here and should be in the finish again. BUSH WARRIOR (6) bolted in over this distance at Bowraville two runs back, albeit in an inferior contest to this. Very fit veteran who gets a bit of welcomed weight relief on recent efforts so keep him firmly in mind. TEWKESBURY (5) is camera shy, with just two successes but 15 minor placings from 33 appearances. Hasn't been far away of late in better races so worth an each-way ticket. PLEADEEL (7) gets a host of gear changes and is back sharply in grade so expect her to run a better race.
