RUSTEMO (3) opened this prep with three straight victories then ran the race of his life last start when a close third in the Group 3 Winx Guineas at the Sunshine Coast. Seems well treated under today's conditions so expect him to be fighting out the finish again. BLITZBURG (2) has been racing extra well in open company of late, finishing runner-up most recently over 6f at the Gold Coast. On trial at this distance which is the only query. HILLIER (1) is the class runner of the field. Made a late surge to be beaten under two lengths in the Guineas at the Sunshine Coast last time out. A whopping 62 kg may be a stopper but he is too good to leave out. GLASTONBURY GIRL (6) stalked the pace then let down a little too well in a BM68 over this distance at Kembla recently. Unbeaten at the mile and deserves her chance at this level. SWAG (9) stormed home to salute over 7f here last time. Looks ready for another crack at this trip.
