Verdict

SPENZALOT (4) got to his right trip last start at the third run of the campaign and duly saluted over 1 5/16m at Tamworth. Put panels on a BM66 field over today's journey at Scone last prep. Up in class but drops 5.5kgs and looks very hard to stop. RING AHOY (3) was a most impressive winner over a similar trip to this here two back. Found them a bit sharp last time over the mile at Tamworth. Back in his right race today. One of the key chances. MISTRESSOFILLUSION (2) worked home well to grab third when second-up over 1 ?m at the Gold Coast recently. Expect she needs this extra ground at the third run back. DIABLO BOLT (1) has been easily accounted for in his two runs this prep, both in Sydney Saturday company. Has a win and a placing from two tries at this distance. Watch for a spike in form. BRILLIANT KNIGHT (6) steps up sharply in journey but is racing well and should get the trip.
