AU - Grafton - Race 3

ROYAL COMMODORE (7) returns from a 23-week spell. Opened the last campaign with a comfortable win in a BM64 over 5f at Wyong then struggled in a couple of runs over longer trips in town. Finds the perfect set-up to launch this prep. LIFE COACH (6) was appearing for the first time in 13 months when a close sixth over 6f at Gosford last start. Not a noted first-up performer so that was an encouraging effort. Open to plenty of improvement and poses a serious threat. LADY WARDELL (4) ran her usual honest race last time out, racing handy but finding one better in a similar race to this at Ballina. Draws the fence so another top three finish looks on the cards. Last start Bowraville winner PIXIE HALLOW (10) might find this a bit tougher but his record over many seasons at this trip is difficult to fault. RIVKIN (5) has been in the top three at ten of 12 runs over today's journey. Returned in good order at Muswellbrook last start and is sure to give a good account again.
