ALASKA DREAM (1) tried hard but found a couple better last start over 7f at Taree. Has only raced twice and looks ready to tackle this longer trip. Not a great deal of depth to this maiden so he gets his chance. PIERANT (6) is a 16-start maiden who was thoroughly outclassed in the $250k Magic Millions Maiden at the Gold Coast last time out. Beaten narrowly over 1 ¼m at the end of last prep so getting out to this trip should spark some improvement. EXODINI (10) was lining up for only the second time when a closing fourth over 7f at Gatton recently. Enjoys a soft run from the inside draw and this longer trip should be right in his wheelhouse. YIANNI (9) started favourite but finished last of four in a poor performance over 7 ½f at Port Macquarie last start. That followed a 32-day break so he should strip fitter for this. REDADEL (7) is next best on a seven-day back-up.
