AUTUMN MISS (3) raced on the speed and proved a shade too strong in a similar race to this at Casino last start. That run followed a 38-day let-up so there is more to come. Has plenty of weight but Nash will get the best out of her. VETOED (11) showed the benefits of a six-week freshen up when she led all the way and scored with authority over 6 ¼f at Ballina last time out. Only third-up today so she can improve further. BARCELONA EXPRESS (4) settled midfield then battled on fairly for a distant third over this trip at Taree recently. Finding success hard to come by but he should be about the money again. SPIRITS BURN DEEP (9) closed strongly to finish just a length behind the airborne My Mum's Toyboy in a quality sprint over 6f here last start. Small question mark at 7f but she does race well here and that form line is strong. The lightly raced HERALD ANGEL (7) has placed at both runs this prep and is a chance in an easier race this afternoon.
