SHOW 'EM HOWL (6) smart gelding ready to bounce back in this easier assignment. Shuffled back early and never travelled at any stage of the race with a fading fifteenth over 7f at Randwick in the Country Championship Final. Can sit off the fast tempo here and return to form. THE WOLF (1) excellent return from the lengthy break with a courageous on-pace fifth over 5f at this track. Has an excellent second-up record and will prove hard to run down with Spokes' claim. SHE'S EXOTIC (2) consistent mare resuming with excellent first-up figures. Went out on a high with a fast finishing win over 5 ½f at Doomben. Primed for this with the two trials and gets her chance from the good gate. HOUSE OF CARDS (4) resumes with a host of gear changes. Back with the one good trial win and will relish the fast tempo. Each way. IMMORTALITY (10) deep into the prep and worth thought.
