Verdict

KILONOVA (2) looks well placed for the Waller yard. She was finding the Sydney racing a bit out of her league and was sent North last time at Doomben when battling away well for third in a BM70. This looks even easier again and she can land in a good spot from the low draw. Clearly the one to beat, she just needs to hold her form. IRON GRACE (8) struggles to win and was out the back when last seen here but comes back from a Class 4 to a Class 2 and a fast 6f is probably her best scenario. INTRECCIATO (7) ran well fresh in easier company here when beaten a nose and has each way claims with improvement to come. NETWORK ERROR (9) was good on the Syntho here last start. Into a CL2 now, but drops plenty of weight and with improvement likely, she's not out of this.

Bolt

A sudden veering to the inside or outside rail, often caused by the horse spooking or shying from something.

Tack

The equipment the horse wears, including saddle and bridle. A jockey typically has their own racing saddle, placed on each horse they ride just before the race.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
