Tough. NEW HAMPSHIRE (1) was beaten a whisker at the Sunshine Coast before spelling and did a good job first-up, beaten 1L in stronger at Ipswich. Has placed 5/6 second up and the longer sprint suits. He's well overdue and gets his chance to break back. NATIONAL INTEREST (5) settled towards the tail first-up, before winding up strongly to score by 0.8 lengths over 6f at Ipswich. Rates highly and is proven 2x second-up. A decent chance to go back-to-back. SHORTCUT (13) resumes for the sharp Matt Dunn yard and brings strong metro form. Has placed 2/2 first-up and will be naturally improved. Has a handy 4lbs claim but will need some luck from the wide gate. SPIRIT OF BRODIE (4) comes back to turf and will be fitter. Has a low gate and will be around the mark.
