Verdict

SYLPH (14) has run a couple of respectable races in black type features since returning from a spell, winding up strongly in the closing stages on each occasion. Massive class drop this evening and she is beautifully in under this scale. Should be winning. CRASH THE PARTY (8) is back from a four-month spell. The highlight last prep was a close fourth in the Magic Millions Guineas when she came from last of 17 to be beaten just 1.4 lengths. Recent trial winner who is a threat despite the lay-off. LISTING CAPITAL (4) led and looked a chance only to be knocked off late when resuming over this distance at Ipswich recently. Likely to enjoy a nice run on the pace again and will be tough to reel in. Market watch on the Gollan-trained first starter BESTOV (7) who should have more to offer than the trials indicate. MILDURA LAD (5) hasn't been beaten far in his two runs this prep and can play a prominent role again.

Third race start. First start ran last of 9 at this track 3yo Mdn on December 6 over 6f, 14 len behind Express Delivery carrying 132lbs at $11. Returned from break set the pace for much of the race 2nd of 8 at Ipswich Mdn on May 4 over 6f, on a slow track, long-neck behind Zouslayer with 129lbs at $3.80. Fitter for that run and a big chance to go one better.
