ALDEZOR (2) is the one to beat after returning with a determined Maiden win at this track, beating Open Throttle by a head as favourite. Holly Nottle stays aboard, the draw is kind, and he already has a placing around 7f, so there is enough substance to back up that first-up success. COSMIC ECLIPSE (5) has the class-drop angle after a plain last in a CL3 at Northam on heavy ground, but her prior Pinjarra fifth behind Military Jane was much better and she gets back to good ground. Back in grade now and can improve. LE TROY (8) brings the most recent placing, having led and held third behind Hyperreal in a change of tactics. Handled the quick back-up there and can feature in the finish once again. TRULY GALLANT (1) was wide and warming up late first-up in a BM58+ at this venue, though the big weight means he profiles more as a solid each-way hope than the main danger. BLACK SANDS (7) can be in the finish.
