WILDSPITZE (12) improved last start, finding a couple better over 7 ½f at Kilcoy. Mixes the form but maps well, and he gets his chance in a moderate lineup. VICTORY MELODY (6) will be better for his two runs this preparation and should be ready to test his best over the longer sprint. Has a wide gate to contend with, so he will need some luck in the run. PRIVET (5) made good improvement, beaten 2L at Inverell. Keeps a 4lbs claim and can get into the finish again. WESTERN AIR (8) debuts for the Kropp yard and jumps from an inside gate. He's trialled and the blinkers are on signalling intent. Wary, and keep a close eye on the betting moves in a winnable race.
