ESHA (6) got the job done over this track and trip two back before just missing the frame in Saturday metro grade at the latest outing. Rock-hard fit now fourth-up from the break and should be right there when the whips are cracking. EXCELOQUENT (8) goes well for rider Jones who has two wins and a placing from just four steers. Has won two of three when first-up and can run a big race while fresh. The well-related GAMBLER (4) (half to Golden Slipper winner Guest House) saves his best form for this sprint journey and only needs some luck navigating from the wide draw to be playing a major role in the outcome. IMPERIAL FORCE (1) also hails from a handy family (full to G3 winner Sprightly Lass) and will find this easier than recent Sydney efforts. Watch for a spike in form. QUEIN STEP (10) is a first-up winner who shouldn't be slept on.
