AU - Eagle Farm - Race 3

ARISPHERE (3) was handy on the bend but began to hang and dropped out at her last run over this course and distance 24 days ago. Has an imposing record over 5f so she shouldn't be written off after one plain performance. BONFIRE SPARK (7) was a month between runs and continued a strong run of recent form when a solid third over today's trip here last time. Draws a decent gate for the first time in a while. Looms as a serious contender. DIAMANTINA ROSE (8) has been burning up the country courses this prep, chalking up three straight wins in the 800-4 ¼f range. Must now extend that brilliance to 5f for the first time. Deserves her chance. LARADO (5) made late ground to get up for third when resuming over 5 ½f at Doomben recently. All three wins have come at today's trip. Eagle Farm suits so he looks a genuine contender. MERCIAN (9) has not raced since he took out a Class 3 over this course and distance in early May. Draws a lovely gate - cannot be underestimated.
