Verdict

DAGGERS (1) rewarded long-suffering supporters with a comprehensive all-the-way victory over this course and distance a fortnight ago. This looks no harder and after the claim he gets in with 1.5kgs less. Hard to tip against. PERFECT PLAY (6) has been racing well without winning in Saturday company in Sydney. Freshened up since a midfield finish over 1 ?m at Rosehill five weeks ago. Has a couple of hoof-related gear changes which are a little worrying, but on face value he is a winning hope. The consistent NORTH POLE (2) stalked the leader and tried hard but just missed over 6 ¾f here recently. Draws the paint and is well in after the claim. Must be respected. JUST FLYING (10) is going well and has a liking for Doomben. A must for trifecta and first four players.

Form hard to fault. At the latest run favourite, won by 1.5 len at this track Cl6 July 18 over 1m on a soft track defeating Cunnamulla Fella carrying 130lbs at $2.50. The race before that crossed from a wide gate to settle just off the pace but gave ground when 3rd of 11 at Ipswich Cl6 on June 20 over 6 ¾f, slow going 1.3 len behind Quothquan carrying 128lbs at $2.35. No reason he cannot get the job done again.
