The stayers kick us off. The well-related NAVAL COMMISSION (7) (half to G1 winner Sonntag) rolled along in front over this track and trip last time out but just got found out late in the piece. Has improved with each run this time in and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the break. Rates the testing material. GALIFIANAKIS (3) has a handy record over this course and distance with two wins and a second from just four attempts. Maps well for Thornton from gate three and looms as the main danger. SUN WORSHIPPER (6) goes well for hoop Du Plessis who has a win and four placings from seven steers. Knocking on the door of another victory and has to be included. THE IRISH (9) is yet to miss a drum in three outings around this circuit and is a must for the multiples. WIREWALKER (10) has won two of his past three and draws the inside marble on the minimum weight. Ticks a few boxes.
