BUSH BATTLE (9) peaks and the former Victorian is on the improve. Finished closer than the market anticipated at Rockhampton following a narrow defeat this trip as favourite at Roma. He's been freshened and also has claims. CALL SIGN (2) resumes for a new stable and has been racing over longer at metro level. Has the blinkers on for the first time and may be forward this time around. The betting will be key.
