EMPUSA (6) led for the judge but lacked the turn of foot required when unplaced over 6 ¾f at the Beaumont circuit last start. Looking for the mile now and shouldn't spend too much in the run from a perfect draw. Ready to win again. HIGH VOLTAGE (8) loomed up on the turn then showed fight to get the upper hand on debut over 7 ¼f at Kempsey last time out. Maps nicely just behind the speed again. Capable of progressing to this level. CALEDONIAN (1) extended a run of outs when a modest fifth over 7 ¼f at Kempsey recently. Only goes up 0.5kgs after Farr's claim and this is an easier race so there is a glimmer of hope for connections. THE AMBASSADOR (7) dropped back sharply in trip last start so the failure was no surprise. Placed over this distance at Inverell the run prior - watch for a return to form. AUSBRED YAHOO (5) is up in class but can sneak into the money.
