Verdict

WOUNDER (8) disappointed last time as favourite when failing to muster the necessary turn of foot. Her run two back was full of merit and the subsequent form is red-hot. Willing to give another chance. SO D'ORO (9) couldn't match the turn of foot of the winner but never stopped trying last time at Wagga when finishing fourth. Expecting Adkins to roll forward from the draw under the light weight and be in this for a long way. THE IRON STAR (4) was strong to the line last start at Hawkesbury when missing the bob over the 1 ?m. The form around him this prep stacks right up and if the tempo is genuine he'll be charging hard late. IVY LEGEND (7) stuck on evenly into a midfield finish when resuming at Kembla Grange. Expected to appreciate the rise in trip and McDonald's booking is a good push.
