Verdict

COUGARS (6) was off a short break first-up on the Acton where he was just fair, holding his own down to the line. The blinkers go on for the first time now, Boudvillain replaces the apprentice and he maps to get every chance out to 6f. He ticks plenty of boxes and looks poised to bounce back to winning ways. HURRY MISS (8) looks beautifully placed coming back to this level after racing in Saturday and Highway grade since her return. The blinkers come off, the nose roll is reapplied and she only carries 122lbs. Ticks plenty of boxes in this much easier assignment. ALOTTOSAY (5) finished off nicely first-up as a $61 chance at Warwick Farm and looks poised to strike here second-up. She improved through the grades nicely last time in work and Day knows her well. Leading chance. BELLEISTIC KIDS (2) is not to be discounted here first-up being a track and trip winner.

Second-up. First-up after three months ran second last in a small field in a Tab Fed Open 85 at Canberra Acton on August 7 over 5f, 2.5 len behind Action King carrying 118lbs at $2.90. Previously second-up won by a long-neck at Randwick on December 27 over 6f defeating Joiselle with 121lbs at $8. Did enough first-up but looks primed for a bold showing in this event.
