ALMIGHTY JAB (3) won two in a row then stepped up to open company last start and was brave in defeat, chiming in late to be beaten just a neck over 5f at Townsville. Track specialist who is crying out for this distance now. VALENKI (1) travelled wide without cover so his effort to hold on for fifth over 6f at Townsville last time out had merit. Out of the money just once in 11 runs at Cairns so expect him to play a significant role in this. LEAN EAGLE (2) had been racing in fine form until a sub-standard effort at Townsville last time. Ryan Wiggins has a wonderful record aboard the five-year-old and he is back in the irons today. Should be right there at the finish. NEW HAMPSHIRE (9) disappointed over 6f at Townsville recently after three excellent lead-up runs. Drops a massive 7kgs today so he deserves another chance. SPIRIT MEISTER (6) is racing well. Boasts an impressive 16 top three finishes from 18 runs here at this trip. Must go in all exotics bets.
