Verdict

SPELLBORN (12) flew home from the back of the pack last start to just miss behind a smart one over the 7f journey here last time out. Out to the mile now doesn't look an issue on what he did last start and Steve Parnham sticks with him. Can bounce back to winning ways. HERAULT (2) steps up in grade today following a strong win in a CL3 at this track last time out. He gets out to the mile again today and is a winner over 1 m last campaign. Needs some luck, but Pike rides again and he can continue to work through the grades. ANTIQUE QUEEN (7) was sound on resumption and should be better suited here second-up and getting out in distance. A better draw today can see her closer in the run and improvement is expected. QUEEN ARIA (11) is not to be discounted on her recent form. GIBRALTAR GOLD (15) draws the inside again out in trip today and can feature in the finish.
