Verdict

HERAULT (2) couldn't have been more impressive when bolting in on resumption, running over the top as an odds-on favourite and putting his rivals to the sword. He's an exciting gelding on the rise and the step to 7f is a big tick. Pike remains in the saddle and he can bring up back-to-back wins. STRAPPING PROPHET (7) just missed on resumption when closing late from the second half of the field, being edged out in a photo finish. Blinkers go on for the first time today and the better barrier may see him sit closer in the run. Can go one better without surprising. SOSO LUCKY (1) resumed in good order when closing off strongly after spending a year on the sidelines. She'll be better for that effort and the rise in trip is right up her alley. Can land the knockout blow. NINE BALL (8) can resume on a positive note. FRIAR'S LEGACY (9) is building nicely and won't be far away.
