Verdict

MT SHIRATAKU (2) jumped an odds-on pop in Saturday grade before the spell where he felt the pinch late in the race. He'll be fitter for two trials coming in and he bolted in first-up last campaign. Pike remains in the saddle and he looks the one to beat coming back in grade fresh. HEY PINO (4) was knocking on the door last campaign, ending with a narrow defeat in Saturday grade. He beat Mt Shirataku in his latest trial with Faithfull in the saddle, so that's a strong form reference for this race. Can pick up from where he left off. ROCK THE MARKET (13) is a maiden galloper up in grade second-up. He only just missed last start and rates highly on the back of that effort. That form may have been franked earlier in the day and she looks a key player, albeit up in grade. MAGICASH (12) looks an improver third-up and with the blinkers on. ANABALLISTIC (10) won well fresh and can build on that performance.
