Verdict

DELZEE (8) improved nicely second-up to score comfortably at Northam when running away with the win. A better barrier this time is a big tick and Galati hops back on board now. Looks a nice horse on the rise and he can bring up back-to-back wins. BELAURA STAR (7) missed fresh at Northam but that form has already been franked and he looks set to raise the bar now. Ticks plenty of boxes from a good barrier and with some weight relief today, he makes plenty of appeal. CATCH CARTER (1) wasn't beaten far in a Class 5 last time out when leading throughout and will likely adopt similar tactics here. Li's 7lbs claim is important with his racing pattern and he'll be tough to run down if he's able to dictate up front. POLYVANOVA (6) can resume on a positive note. BOUSSAC (5) won't be far away if he can be somewhere close to his best first-up.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Fractions

The times recorded during the race; with timing starting just past the gate or when the gates open, then parroted for the quarter, half, three-quarters etc. Used as an indication of ability and speed.
