WESTERN EMPIRE (1) returned with a bang in the Belmont Sprint when scoring by 0.4L in good order here. Getting out to the mile is no issue now and he's shown good versatility through his career. Pike sticks with him and with further improvement expected, he can win again. ROPE THEM IN (3) was ridden differently last start and almost pinched it, finishing 2nd to Western Empire last time out. He's shaped as a Railway horse the last two years and now gets out to 1m for just the second time. Wouldn't surprise to see him go to another level. FLURO NEURO (11) was strong from midfield in the Northam Stakes when beaten 0.8L to Smooth Chino last start. He boasts a strong second-up record and it wouldn't surprise to see him flashing late. DIAMOND SCENE (5) can improve second-up and with more distance. OUR PALADIN AL (13) flew late last start. This is tougher, especially under the race conditions, but he's progressive and is not to be discounted.
