SHERPA EXPRESS (1) was thrown into the deep end last campaign but he was up to the task, missing by 3.6L behind the sharp Hot And High before the break. His recent trials were handy and he looks ready to make a statement on his return. There's plenty to like about him. OPTIMUS PRIME (12) is looking for a hat-trick after a narrow win over 6 ½f at Pinjarra last time out. Pike sticks with him as he comes to town and he lands here with stacks of upside. He continues to raise the bare and with plenty in his favour here, he can win again. RIPPER FAROOQ (2) was too good on resumption over 5f and that form was franked on Wednesday. Out to 6f is the query, but he rates highly off the fresh win and can't be discounted. ROCK THE MARKET (10) is back to 6f now after a disappointing run last time out. Can bounce back on the quick turnaround. GOD'S GATE (7) won well last start and can feature in the finish again.
