Verdict

BOOM BREAK (1) led and just missed fresh then broke through for the maiden win last time over 5 ½f at Ipswich. Fitter again and going well. Expected to take catching again. STATEMENT OF TRUTH (3) looks a big danger on the nice return when beaten less than a length. Kept fresh for this and worth noting did win only other try second-up. THIEM (8) was a little disappointing two back on the Sunny Coast but has placed three times either side. At peak fitness and overdue for a win. Raced on speed and just missed in the latest and among the main hopes again. GRAND CRUSADER (5) resumed from a long break at Kilcoy and fought on well for a close-up second. Doesn't win out of turn but encouraging fresh and worth following up. JE REVE (6) was on the heels of Thiem last time and is a top three chance.
