DOMINATOR (1) ran a cheeky race two back at Canterbury then led for the judge but couldn't maintain the pressure over 5 ½f at Doomben last start. Drops in grade today and should be able to dictate terms. Terrific chance to open the account. NOZOMU (4) was ridden closer to the speed last time out over this distance at Doomben but wilted in the closing stages. Strips fitter and the blinkers go on for the first time which could flick the switch. MISHANI RAINFIRE (11) felt the pinch in the final stages first-up over today's journey at Kilcoy recently. Best figures measure up so with that run under the belt she is a genuine contender. JASMINTINA (10) disappointed at Toowoomba last start but has trialled well since. Capable on her day and despite a wide gate is not out of the contest. CATFISH (2) ran a better race last start at the Gold Coast and may improve further with the application of winkers today.
