Verdict

FLASH PRINCE (6) backs up quickly after failing to fire a shot in the Coffs arbour Cup on Friday. Strikes a much easier assignment here and is drawn much kinder. Can bounce back sharply. GAVIN (1) found the line nicely to grab third last time out over 1 ¹/16m at Grafton. Fair record at this trip with a win and five placings. Main danger. HERALD ANGEL (2) got too far back at the latest and never really looked likely. Is much better than that last run suggests and is worth another chance. MONTGOMERY (4) was better second-up and would've come on again from that efforts. Drawn well and reunites with the 4lbs claimer in Spokes who knows him well. Can give this a shake.

Form hard to fault. Last start favourite, ran on from midfield and won by a neck at Inverell Bm50 July 18 over 1m defeating Playful Puzzle with 130lbs at $3.60. The run before that 4th of 10 at Grafton Ctry Bm66 on July 12 over 1m, 2 len behind He's A Copy Boy with 121lbs at $26. Capable enough on his day and is expected to run well.
